We want to welcome our 15th starfish to our class. We are very excited to be altogether!
We talked about the importance of writing our first names the 1st grade way! We practiced writing our names with uppercase and lowercase letters using model magic. The kids were excited there was extra model magic to take home!
We each received our very own Poem and Song journal. Each week we add and illustrate one or two poems. This helps with our reading fluency and expression! The kids keep their Poem and Song journals in their book boxes!
Each child received their own math tool kit today! As we begin introducing math materials in our lessons, each child will put one in their toolkit to use as a learning resource. the children put their pattern block template in their toolkit today. The kids explored the different shapes using crayons on a blank piece of paper!
