Penguin Blubber Glove Science Experiment

The starfish learned that some animals can survive in freezing air and water temperatures. We learned that penguins and other marine animals have body fat (blubber) that cover 50% of their bodies.




The starfish did a science experiment this afternoon using simple materials: water, ice, zip lock bags, and Crisco to learn more how it feels to be a penguin diving down into frigid water temperatures.
