Summer Packet Coming Home Tomorrow

In your child's backpack tomorrow, you will find a red folder that I put together as some resources to work on for the summer.  Inside the folder, it includes a math packet that was created to review all the concepts of first grade mathematics through the Everyday Mathematics Program.  This will help maintain your child's math skills and help with the transition to second grade.  Your child will be familiar with the format and the types of questions in this packet.  Also included inside the packet is a suggested 2nd grade reading lists put together by Mrs. Wigode from the library.  I also included large lists for each child at their instructional and independent reading levels.  These lists will be helpful to bring to the library this summer to help find books that are 'just right'!

I hope you find this packet helpful.  As an incentive for completing the packet, you can encourage your child to bring the folder back to me in September and I will let them choose a special reward!

Thank you so much for your continued support!
