Book Choice time is now over. It's time to return all books as soon as you are done. with them. All books must be returned by Monday, June 16th. Thank you!

First Grade Mall

Please look in your child's blue folder this weekend regarding our Annual First Grade Mall. This event is a culminating activity to a year-long practice with money.  We are still looking for donated supplies to make our event a success.  

Field Day Pictures 2014

Field Day is Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is our annual Field Day celebration.  

Please send your child to school prepared for a fun filled day.  

The following items will help their day be even better.

I spy 20 Smiling Starfish in the Sea

This year's theme is I spy!  We made our class banner today.  

 

1. APPROPRIATE CLOTHING AND FOOTWEAR, PLEASE NO BATHING SUITS OR FLIP FLOPS, SANDALS OR CROCS (YES, THEY WILL BE RUNNING)

    

2. A Rain Jacket or Coat. Rain is expected! 

3. BUG SPRAY

4. A LABELED WATER BOTTLE

5.  A CHANGE OF CLOTHES AND TOWEL (THEY WILL GET WET)

   6.  A HAT AND SUNSCREEN

    

Grandparents Luncheon

The kids had a great time on Monday morning showing their Grandparents around the school! Enjoy a few pictures. I apologize if I didn't get every Grandparent visitor on the blog!

Support Soars Program

SUPPORT SOARS 

Soars is asking all SMS students to bring in granola bars to End 68 Hours of Hunger.  (End 68 Hours of Hunger is a private, nonprofit, effort to confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school on Friday afternoon and the free breakfast they receive in school on Monday morning.)
