Preparing for our field trip

Hi Starfish Families,

We are all so excited for our morning at Coppal House Farm tomorrow.  The weather is expected to be beautiful. Make sure to pack a jacket or sweatshirt for our trip tomorrow.  We will be rotating through three activities at the farm tomorrow.  The Dolphins, Seals, and our class will be rotating.  The starfish are going to be eating snack at the last rotation (Around 10:30).  Please make sure that your child eats a hearty breakfast  because we will be eating snack later than we typically do.

Coppal House Farm- Chaperones and Preparing for our Field Trip on Wednesday

Our four chaperones for the field trip to Coppall House Farm in Lee, NH are Mrs. Goodrich, Mrs. Currier, Mrs. Richard, and Mr O'Kane.  Thank you for everyone who offered. Unfortunately, we could only take four chaperones, and I chose the first four parents who offered.  Please feel free to carpool if you were chosen.  We can't wait to see the rest of you for our centers and Mystery Reader dates!




If you are chaperoning for our corn maze trip Wednesday, please either follow the bus from school at 8:45 or meet us there at 9:15.  We plan to leave the corn maze at 11:00 to head back to school.  Everyone who has time tonight or tomorrow night, help your child learn a few facts about New Hampshire salamanders to help navigate us through the corn maze tomorrow.  We learned a few facts at school today!  Please remember to pack your child a snack and drink.

Fall Field Day

Hi Families,

 

 

Fall Field Day is tomorrow for all first grade classes.  If you could kindly respond to this email if you are planning on joining us tomorrow.  The P.E. teachers are asking a few parents from each room to arrive at 1:00 to get directions, equipment, help set up the 5 stations.  Our class will be rotating through 5 stations from 1:30 to 2:20.  We will finish our day of fun with popsicles outside. 

 

Helpful Reminders for tomorrow:

 

Make sure your child is dressed appropriately, with SNEAKERS!

 

Labeled water bottles would be a good thing for students to bring.

I wanted to share an app that might help your child with their weekly spelling words.

 

Build at Word by @Reks

This is an app that can be purchased on iTunes.  (This is one of my favorite apps for spelling practice!)  You can enter each week's spelling list and use the professional narration or your child can narrate their own list.
